The primary mission of the Symphony Guild is the presentation of the Symphony Above the Clouds Concert featuring the Woodland Park Wind Symphony. This delightful admission-free, annual public concert event has truly become a community project.

UPSG 2024 Program
This year, for the first time in our history, the Guild is partnering with the City of Woodland Park’s Old Fashioned 4th of July celebration! Our annual concert will take place in Memorial Park on the actual day of July 4th, following the City event. Vendors, food truck and beverage partners who participate in the daytime celebration will stay into the evening to provide a fun, family event for concert goers. We are very excited about this change and look forward to bringing the new experience to our community!
Families and friends are encouraged to attend the Old Fashioned 4th of July celebration during the day. We then invite everyone to come back to the park in the evening and bring picnics and/or purchase food from the vendors and relax and enjoy the show! Over the years, audiences have grown to thousands, are multi-generational and are representative of not only the area’s population but of our summer tourists, many of whom schedule their visits here to attend our concert.
Several years ago, the Guild began including pre‐concert entertainment, and we have worked hard to showcase high‐quality local talent. They have all been a very successful addition to the program. The main event, featuring the Woodland Park Wind Symphony, is an extremely high‐quality, professional organization. All components of the concert are staged to professional standards.
The musical program varies from year to year, but it is always patriotic in nature. “Armed Force Salute” is played to recognize our men and women in each branch of the military service. The evening always culminates with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and fireworks (weather depending) or an alternative light show provided by the City of Woodland Park.
