Classical music has been alive and well in the Pikes Peak region since 1927, when 27 local musicians banded together to form the Philharmonic’s distant predecessor, the Colorado Springs Symphony Ensemble. Today, the Colorado Springs Philharmonic boasts 75 professional musicians under the direction of internationally-renowned maestro Josep Caballé-Domenech and performs over 35 concerts every season. The orchestra has been proud to partner with the Ute Pass Symphony Guild to present over 30 years of Symphony Above the Clouds.
